We never turn away a sick or needy dog, which means our medical expenses are always high—often beyond what adoption fees cover. Every donation, no matter the size, helps us provide food, medical care, and safe transport for these deserving animals. Volunteer-Help Without a Foster Home

Not everyone can foster or donate, and that's okay. Volunteers are the heart of Misfit Angels of South Jersey. All you need to do is devote your time and energy to making tails wag and hearts happy. You can make a huge impact by:

  • Helping with fundraising.

  • Inviting friends to our adoption events.

  • Brainstorming creative ways to save more dogs.

Fostering-Give a Dog a Home, Save a Life

We rely entirely on fosters to provide temporary homes for our rescued dogs. We do not have a shelter, kennel, or boarding facility, so every dog you foster is given a loving home instead of being euthanized. Our foster homes often include children, other pets, and busy families-but we work to match each rescue to a positive environment. All you need to provide is love, food, and a safe space-we handle the rest!
Meet Our Mission

The Adjustment Period—Helping Dogs Settle In

Every rescued dog needs time to adjust to a new home. This period usually lasts 1 to 3 months and may involve:

  • Reinforcing house manners

  • Adjusting to new surroundings and routines

  • Dog-proofing your home

  • Extra walks or crate training (if needed)

Don’t worry—most dogs adjust quickly, and our team is here to support you every step of the way. Your patience and commitment make a world of difference.
